The 3.5mm adaptor is slightly different than a standard 3.5mm plug. If you compare it to a standard plug you will see that the black insulator that separates the "+" from the "-" on the tip is thicker. This is probably not an issue with most flashes (which is why I give it 3 stars), but because of this it would not make contact with my Interfit strobes. I replaced 3 of these with the FotoTech version of this cable and they work perfectly.
